Kiama Library leads the charge

Kiama Library, on the south coast of New South Wales, is the first public library in Australia to adopt a free phone charging service. The library has recognised the strong demand from visitors for the service, installing a Carter model in the complex to compliment their free WiFi service.

The Kiama library is a technological hotspot for the community, hosting the Digital Hub Open Day yesterday. The combined initiative of Kiama Council and the Department of Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy educated visitors about a range of projects from eHealth to cybersafety.
