As students return to their studies in coming weeks, the all-too-familiar groan of textbook prices and weight fills the hallways, study rooms and courtyards.
A report from Nielsen has found that 71% of students who use tablets are interested in accessing textbooks on them.
Student tablet owners at school / on campus use their iPad to search the internet (51%), use email (46%), read books (42%), take notes (40%) and complete assignments (30%).
Apple’s last reported quarter showed $1 billion worth of sales in the Education market – it’s best quarter ever. Amazingly, Apple’s iPad holds a 94% share of the education market for tablets.
